AIM As an industry first the HERT program allows helicopter rescue crews to execute hoist emergency procedures in a realistic and safe environment. The course design parallels aviation best practices for flight crews, by providing a synthetic environment to training and evaluate crewmembers on procedures deemed to hazardous to perform in flight. This program exceeds all regulatory aviation standards (FAA, TC, JAR etc.) and industry guidelines (IOGP, etc.) for offshore Search and Rescue and /or Hoist operations. The HERT program takes hoist emergency training from the static to the dynamic, providing positive training outcomes and improved operational capability.
